DAY 1 RECAP

BOYS DOUBLES

Our boys doubles saw Andrew Nielsen & Dylan Faulds paired together who finished second on their board losing only two games to WA & SA. This meant they progressed off their board to a showdown against the other WA pairing.

On the other board Harry Pearce and Lachlan McGaw battled hard to finish 3rd narrowly missing out on a spot in the semis.

The highlights being a clutch 113 peg from Harry and a 180 from Andrew in the knockout stages.

Andrew & Dylan managed to get the better of WA in the semis booking themselves a final against Qld which they lost 4-1 in a match that could have gone either way.

 

GIRLS DOUBLES

The junior girls never cease to amaze us.

Caylee Crilly and Alexis White went through the round robin stage losing only two games to Qld and WA with Lexi nailing a D20 finish, first dart, to secure their spot in the semis. They eventually went down 3-2 in the semi against the eventual winners Qld.

On the other board Taylor Bullock and Taini Hoffman finished 5th which meant they did not progress to the knockout stages with their doubles letting them down at crucial moments.

MIXED DOUBLES

Our mixed doubles were played in such good spirits with plenty of smiles and laughing being heard from all players across all boards.

Our rookie pairing of Harry Pearce and Alexis White finished 3rd on their board thanks to our youngest junior Lexi who carried Harry (you know it mate ) with some awesome pegging.

Unfortunately none of our mixed doubles progressed off their boards which was won by NSW for a second year running.

A huge congrats to our Vic juniors who may not have got the results they wanted but represented us with such grace and enthusiasm on day 1.

Can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings for them.
